How we approach Screen Printing at Five-Ink

ive-Ink uses screen printing as the preferred method of fulfilling our customers’ requirements. Screen printing is a process in which ink is applied directly to the surface to be printed.

The image to be printed is photographically transferred to an excellent fabric such that the non-printing areas are blocked off, and the fabric serves as a stencil. The ink is wiped across the screen to pass through the unblocked pores and reach the substrate.

A separate screen is prepared for each color to be printed, and the process is repeated. It is ideally suited for curved shapes (mugs and cups) and a wide range of textile materials.

There are many positives associated with screen printing, but the main advantage is the unique visual imagery it creates. The inks are durable, and the colors are vivid, particularly for outdoor uses, making this a unique reproduction technique.

The fact that printing can be done on an extensive range of materials and objects and that there is a choice of multiple special inks are all factors that have helped to establish Screen Printing as the best method for imprinting products with unique features.

Screen printing is a very flexible printing technology, with no limitations on the thickness and nature of the material on which the printing will be done, especially for more significant volume production. It continues to be the most efficient and cost-effective printing methodology available today.
